When I think about...
Full of potential.
Expiration Date
We all check for expiration dates on products. When we go to the grocery store, every product that you take internally, or apply to a body part has an expiration date of some sort. When we check the date, we ponder on when we will be finished using this product to determine if the date is far out enough. If it isn’t for that one, we check to see if another has a further expiration date. The expiration date matters. It matters because it lets us know possibly how long it’s good for. We check to see if it will be good long enough for us. When the product has reached expiration, we throw it out. Sometimes we will continue to use the product after the expiration date depending on what it is, but most times we just throw it out.
We also have an expiration date. We all have a time that we must go. We must leave this place. We don’t know how nor when our expiration date will come. We do know that we will expire. The word of God tells us that man is born, dies(expires) and then comes the judgement. We will expire! We find joy in what God has allowed us to have. We are blessed to live on this earth and enjoy the scenery and creation of God. We are blessed to have family and friends. We are blessed to live in beautiful homes, have careers that we like and drive great vehicles. We don’t like to think about the day of expiration. But one way or another, one day or another, we will expire. The word of God tells us that Wisdom is the principle thing, but of all your getting get understanding. The understanding is that WE HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE. Will you be ready?
If you don’t have that relationship, start right now. You have not expired! Begin right now. Say father, in the name of Jesus, I want that relationship with you. A relationship where I dress daily in the garment of praise. Where I have that sweet-smelling savor of worship. Where I want more and more of you. I want to speak what you tell me to speak, I want to go where you tell me to go. I want people to see you instead of me. Father give me you. In Jesus’s name, I pray, amen.
